Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.

You aren't alone
Have you ever been curious about chakras, auras, and energy fields? Wondered about “vibrational” techniques like essential oils or crystal healing? Noticed there seems to be a lot of people talking about Reiki, Pranic Healing, or Shamanism?
Me, too.
As I’ve said, I believe strongly in psychotherapy. But as I’ve been in the field longer and longer, I’ve seen that some people need or want other ways to heal long-standing issues. And because I love to learn, and because I've always been curious about how people across the world approach healing, I have taken many classes and trainings in alternative healing. One of my strengths is being open to other people’s beliefs and spiritual experiences. I've seen that clients want to be able to discuss experiences they are curious about without thinking their therapist will view them as crazy.
Some of the trainings I’ve taken include: Pranic Healing, Reiki 1 & 2, Healing Touch, Quantum Touch, Rohun cards & purification, the "Bardo" (based on the Tibetan Bardo Thodol death rites), Crystal & Rock healing, Past Life Therapy, Spirit Releasement & Depossession, Soul loss, and Advanced Subtle Energy Anatomy.
Woo Woo or Maybe Not
Many of these are energetic techniques for stress reduction and relaxation and “promote healing of mind, body and spirit”. They are based on the idea that “universal life force energy” flows through all of us and that balancing this energy promotes health and healing. Shaman and medicine people have believed for thousands of years that illness comes from either having too much or too little energy, and these imbalances can be treated to achieve wellness. Other healing techniques focus on more spiritual experiences, including soul loss, connections to our higher selves, or connecting with other energies such as totem animals or spirit guides.
We can use these techniques solely, or in conjunction with psychotherapy or hypnotherapy. Although I don’t always discuss or focus on these aspects of the Universe, I think...
... for some clients, it is important to have a therapist who is open to discussing alternative healing and experiences.contact Starla today
